Read over the following Media Credential policies and criteria before completing the Media Credential Request Form below.

Media Credential Request deadline: 11:59 p.m. on May 17, 2024

Media credentials for the Jacksonville Jazz Festival will be granted to reporters and photographers who are on assignment and covering the festival for professional publications, websites/blogs and/or radio and television stations. Applicants will be required to upload an assignment letter that includes coverage dates, description of the assignment, and run date.

Media credentials are not available for freelance photographers, freelance writers not on assignment, portfolio photographers, and most online publications, blogs or social media influencers. Even with assignments, not all applicants will be approved. Obtaining multiple assignments is encouraged, but will not guarantee approval.

Media credentials are only valid for media pit access only. They are not valid for backstage, VIP, on-stage access, or ancillary events. Media pits are located in front of the stage and will be open for the first three songs of each performance. Credentials are not needed for areas of the festival that are open to the public.

Artists, Artist Management, and festival producers have the ability to close media pits, limit access, allow only specific photographers to have access, or have approved photographers shoot from another location. The festival PR Manager will keep credential holders informed as early as possible, but these limitations are often dictated close to performance time. Only photographers with professional cameras such as SLR and interchangeable lens cameras will be allowed into the photo pits. Point-and-shoot cameras or cell phone cameras will not be permitted.

Media credentials are non-transferable and must be clearly displayed at all times. Credentials are property of the City of Jacksonville’s Jacksonville Jazz Festival. Festival producers reserve the right to revoke media credentials for any reason at any time.

As media pits are located within a festival production area, all applicants will be required to sign a Release of Liability.
