BOAT DOCKS

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Boaters are welcome to dock along the St. Johns River during the Jacksonville Jazz Festival!

HOURS:
While the docks themselves are open 24 hours, the entrance to the festival from the docks will only be open during festival hours.

RULES & REGULATIONS:
Boat docks will be available first come first serve. Please note that they are considered to be outside of the festival footprint so you will need to go through the special boat dock entrance point to go in and out of the event.

Boaters wanting to enter the festival will receive a boater wristband at the entrance on the Boat Docks, so that they can access the boat docks when they go to leave.

RIVER TAXI

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The River Taxi is selling tickets in advance for transportation to the festival! Interested guests may purchase their River Taxi passes by visiting jaxrivertaxi.com and selecting the date desired. The River Taxi will have designated stop times and guests should select a dock for boarding online as well.

Price: $15 for an All-Day River taxi pass.

The River Taxi will operate regular service throughout the festival at the following hours:
  • Thursday, May 26: 1 p.m.  – 10 p.m.
  • Friday, May 27: 1 p.m. – 11 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 28: 11:30 a.m. – 11 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 29: 1 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

Pick-up docks are at Doubletree Hotel, Southbank Hotel and drop-off will be at the Riverfront Plaza dock.

The River Taxi will run multiple boats that night. Free public parking should be available on the Southbank in the city lot under the Acosta bridge and in the DCPS parking lot on Prudential Drive.

JTA Skyway

The JTA Skyway is a 2.5 mile long elevated monorail system that glides high above the busy streets of Downtown Jacksonville, crossing the St. Johns River to Kings Avenue on the Southbank. The JTA Skyway will be operating on extending hours during the Jacksonville Jazz Festival, with free parking available at Kings Avenue Parking Garage, where customers can then take the Skyway to Central Station. The first 150 people at the Kings Avenue Parking Garage will receive a prize.

JTA Connexion:
JTA’s Connexion service provides destination-to-destination shared public transportation for people with disabilities who are functionally unable to use fixed-route services for all of their transportation needs, or for people who are transportation disadvantaged (TD). For more details about service during the Jacksonville Jazz Festival, please see the following:
  • Reservations can be made daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., including weekends and holidays by calling (904) 265-6999. Same-day trips are not available.
  • Customers can pay with cash, the MyJTA or Token Transit app, or with a StarCard.
  • Fare is $3.00 for ADA customers and $3.50 for TD customers.
  • Personal Care Attendants with ADA riders can ride for free. Personal Care Attendants with TD riders will pay the same fare as the customer.

JTA’s Connexion PLUS service is an additional option for eligible Connexion customers. Connexion Plus is perfect for eligible customers who want private, same-day, door-to-door service to anywhere in Duval County.   • Reservations can be made at least two hours in advance of your requested pick-up time by calling (904) 404-0848. Hours are Monday-Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and weekends from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • When making a reservation for this weekend, please specify “Jacksonville Jazz Festival” as your destination. Drop-off and Pick-up at the festival will be located at the corner of Bay Street and Hogan Street.
  • Fare is $6 for trips of 15 miles or less. Add $2 per mile for trips over 15 miles.
  • Additional passengers are $4 each, while Personal Care Attendants can ride free of charge.
  • Fares must be paid with a credit card, and are for one way.
