Jacksonville business owners gear up for Jazz Fest weekend

The Jacksonville Jazz Festival has returned and many small business owners are anticipating the crowds drawn to the event will help boost sales.

Action News Jax spoke with business owners today and has more on what this festival means to them

Many say they are excited about what this festival could bring to their business’s bottom lines, and they are hopeful for a profitable weekend

“The city of Jacksonville has done a great job of helping us small business people survive,” says Business owner Jen Ocha.

Ocha, owner of Daddy-os says events like the jazz festival are amazing because it helps them finically

“It’s a good economic boost not only for the city but for us to continue to do this every weekend,” says Ocha.

Willian Jimenez, who is also a local food truck owner says people coming to check out their business this weekend can be beneficial for them in the long run.

“For people coming to see the food trucks and all they have for the small business here,” says Jimenez

Nicole Kelley, who has a booth offering purses and other items, says being around other small businesses helps her business

It’s always good to be in the marketplace. Sometimes it’s not all about selling the products. It’s the people you meet and creative minds and entrepreneurs you meet,” says Kelly.
