{"id":11515,"date":"2024-05-24T15:54:02","date_gmt":"2024-05-24T15:54:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jacksonvillejazzfest.com\/?p=11515"},"modified":"2024-06-10T15:56:39","modified_gmt":"2024-06-10T15:56:39","slug":"live-music-fun-and-heat-thousands-expected-to-head-downtown-for-the-jacksonville-jazz-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jacksonvillejazzfest.com\/_ARC\/2024\/05\/live-music-fun-and-heat-thousands-expected-to-head-downtown-for-the-jacksonville-jazz-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"Live music, fun and heat: Thousands expected to head downtown for the Jacksonville Jazz Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-reader-unique-id=\"1\"><strong data-reader-unique-id=\"2\">JACKSONVILLE, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 Thousands of people are expected to endure the heat for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.news4jax.com\/topic\/Jacksonville_Jazz_Festival\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-reader-unique-id=\"3\">Jazz Fest 2024<\/a>, a free three-day concert in downtown Jacksonville.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"4\">Jazz Fest has seen many locations, from the Duval courthouse lawn to Riverfront Plaza, the former site of The Landing.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"5\">This year it kicks off with two stages at Daily\u2019s Place and Metropolitan Park.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"6\">\u201cThe theme is always come early when you come downtown,\u201d City of Jacksonville\u2019s Chief of Sports &amp; Entertainment Alex Alston said.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"7\">Some roads will also be closed for food trucks and vendors, but there will be plenty of parking at the lots surrounding Daily\u2019s Place and the stadium.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"12\">Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be very eventful, but it will also be hot.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"13\">Temperatures will peak into the 90s all weekend and will feel even hotter.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"16\">There will be four JTA cooling buses for anyone who needs a break from the heat, plus water and cold beverages.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"17\">There will also be a chance to shop.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"18\">Vendors like Latisha, who traveled from Atlanta, is one of many at Jazz Fest.
